Well, It's like this...
Once upon a time, when I was in art school, I had a teacher who was a hippy from the 60's. She was/is a really wonderful person, a great painter, and we got along just fine and she always understood when I'd miss class to drive 20 or 30 hours to go see the boys. She had a son who worked for the Grateful Dead.

Once, when she went to visit him in the San Francisco area, he took her to the Dead's old ranch studio in Novato.

As my teacher friend was checking things out, she was looking for souvenirs that she could bring back to me. She asked and these objects were given to her and she in turn gave them to me for which I was very thankful and most suitably impressed.

I haven't included their names here, but her son is one of the people playing on the Ltd. Edition 45rpm included in the collection. I've tried to recall the stories that she told about the different pieces, so be sure to check out the links on each picture.
