Q. Where do I find the documentation for ASP?

Q. What is the purpose for the list?

A. The purpose of the ASPNewbie list is for absolute beginners to ASP and experienced users wanting to round out their knowledge and ask basic questions they are having with ASP. Advanced topics will also be covered in the realm of Pure ASP: graphics, interactivity, routines and functions, flatfile databases, etc.

Q. What do you mean by "Pure ASP"?

A. The predominant use of ASP is as a tool for Internet/intranet database applications. Much of the discussion concerning ASP focused on database issues. Data access is but one component. ASP is most powerful as an on-the-fly HTML Author. Using intrinsic objects, ASP programming seamlessly integrates HTML and scripting. You can concievably create a unique Web Page for each person who enters your Web Site. Essentially, I am refering to what has been know as dynamic HTML. To make the distinction between this and DHTML, I refer to it as Pure ASP.
