You can put your web pages and other files on our servereither by ftping them or by using telnet. If your networking skillsare less than average, I would advise using ws-ftp.
I prefer to ftp my files over to the server and also be loggedon through telnet. That way, they are two seperate processes on mymachine. You can accomplish different jobs on linux, and do the same thing, I just prefer having them seperated into two differentscreens.
Place your files under your www directory. Please do not placeyour files in your main directory (above www). That space is foryour own info and the public will not be able to retrieve webfiles from the main directory. You can set up your files and directorieshow you choose, the seperation is just for public and private documents.
After your account is created you will have to usehttps://bcpub.com/yourname/file.ext
to reference your links, graphics etc. If you set up your owndomain, your references will change as soon as your registered. The new url will then be
http://yourdomain.com/file.ext
