The POP server is used to get your mail out of our temporary holding bins where your e-mail is actually stored. When you check your e-mail with Pegasus, Eudora Pro or any of the other e-mail packages available, the e-mail client logs onto the POP server for the e-mail.

The easiest way to view your mail on the server is with pine. This program is available from the command prompt. Just type "pine". Pine has a menu approach type interface. For basic mail handling, pine will work fine.
